My gosh, I can't recommend Dr. Gunther emphatically enough!! You should feel very confident if you're considering surgery with him.
I had surgery with Dr. G in January 2023. He was doing revision work to two of my prior gender affirming surgeries simultaneously. Prior to the surgery I met with him twice; at both appointments Dr. G was extremely professional, but I also greatly appreciated how he took his time. I didn't feel rushed like I've felt with other surgeons and doctors, and his willingness to spend time describing the procedures and answering my questions gave me a lot of comfort going into the operation. At the post-op he was equally professional and did a lot to alleviate my anxiety and reassure me that things were normal.
The procedures themselves went phenomenally, and I'm so happy with my results! I would see Dr. Gunther for surgery again in a heartbeat, and recommend him to anyone considering him for his help!
Dr. Gunther performed a gender affirming vaginoplasty and breast augmentation in October, 2023. Prior to the surgery, he met one on one with me three times (both virtually/in-person), held an online town hall to walk through the surgeries, and responded to emails regarding the process. Post surgery, he responded off hours to concerns promptly. Dr. Gunther's bedside manner is amazing. He was concerned both with the results of the surgery and my mental health. His surgical work is excellent, and his care is top notch.
