I tried to donate a charcoal Weber grill yesterday in South Tacoma and the gal "in charge" said no thanks, it has some rust on the grill. I guess they want brand new grills. Any grill that has been used will not look pristine. When you drive up to the donation side, sign says “For your safety and ours, please stay in your vehicle.” So I sat in my car while being ignored by the guy standing there then he annoyingly acknowledged me and asked what I wanted. I said I had a grill to donate then he looked annoyed he had to open my tail gate door. Again, the employees must not know what the sign says. I will donate to St. Vincent de Paul from now on. Their staff is friendly, polite, and appreciative when I donate. Their prices are also better than Habitat.

I found their selection to be the best of the Pierce County stores, the staff was also the kindest. A little aggressive with trying to sell things to you, but kind. I was also surprised at the price range, I expected a little better quality at a little better price for what their mission statement is. I prefer to support Habitat over Goodwill though & will continue to do so as long as the prices justify it.

Well just sent my sweet non conflict husband to drop a couch off because we are down sizing since he is being deployed soon. The donation drop off woman SCREAMED at him and his friend that they weren’t pulled up enough to drop off the couch. She could’ve just asked nicely. Absolutely disgusting behavior. Especially to soldiers and their families just trying to help others by donating. They wouldn’t take the couch bc it has fuzz pills for anyone looking to donate. It’s a year old havertys couch with no stains. Horrible behavior. Calling corporate next.
