I went there with my wife and kid. Had a bad experience. My wife ordered hainam chicken normal way. I ordered white meat only and cream corn/chicken soup. I told her I cant do dark meat(doctors orders). She said she will talk to the cook. I looked at her again and td her I can't do dark meat. She says ok and walks away.
They bring the food to the table and I received 80% dark meat. I told them I can't do dark meat. They left the food and walked away.
There was blood all over my plate. The chicken inside the soup was also raw. Gross. I didn't eat anything. They came back to pick up plates. I didnt touch any of it. They said "you dont like?". I said look at the plate. What do you see wrong. They left the check. I paid and left.
I remember years ago when I used to go there when it was owned by the der lady and man 10 years ago. Quality of food was so much better. Now it's trash. Terrible experience. I won't be coming back.
Look at the pics for the raw hainam chicken and raw chicken I side the soup. Gross
I like this place. its a Hong Kong style restaurant and they are open really late. Mongolian beef is my favorite because its tender and savory. Wonton is nice. Beef congee here is better than Saigon Eden's and better priced. Beef fried rice is alright (not a lotta beef). Pineapple bun is alright (there's no filling).
Sadly they are not open Monday 🤷♂️
It's very close to where I live but I hate walking there because the restaurant kitchen is constantly dumping (sewage?)water into the side street where I walk and that means I'll need to step on it to get to the entrance door.
Inside is nice. The vibe is a mix of hanging out and family dining out. They're mostly elderlies at random hours, with younger groups popping up during lunch and later hours.
This place is so good! Perfect spot for your Hong Kong cafe fix. We came here after tennis at 10:30pm, and they were still open! They are open till 2am!
As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the charismatic servers and the restaurant was busy at 10pm.
We ordered dishes recommended by our server Jordan. I ordered the braised beef & tendon in curry sauce. My husband ordered the eel fried rice. And my friend ordered, the black pepper ribeye steak and the crispy noodles & beef in gravy sauce! And of course we had to order a round of orange iced tea!
The food was plated nicely and tasted delicious! We ate everything. The portions were big too! They refilled our ice teas multiple times! Service was A+++ I definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic Hong king cafe dishes!
We’ll be back to try other dishes on the menu too!
