Title: Avoid Teaspoon's Black Sugar Assam at All Costs
I recently had the misfortune of trying Teaspoon's Black Sugar Assam boba tea, and let me tell you, it was an experience I wish I could forget. From the first sip to the last, all I could taste was bitterness and disgust.
First off, let's talk about the black sugar aspect. I expected a subtle sweetness that would complement the rich flavor of the Assam tea. Instead, what I got was an overwhelming, cloying sweetness that masked any semblance of tea flavor. It felt like I was drinking pure syrup with a hint of burnt sugar.
And speaking of the tea, the Assam itself was atrocious. It was so bitter that it made my taste buds recoil in horror. I couldn't even finish half of the drink before giving up in defeat. It was like they brewed the tea with burnt charcoal instead of water.
To add insult to injury, the boba pearls were abysmal. They were overly chewy and had a strange, artificial aftertaste that lingered unpleasantly in my mouth long after I had disposed of the drink.
Overall, Teaspoon's Black Sugar Assam was a complete disaster. It's rare that I encounter a drink so vile that I feel compelled to warn others away, but this is one of those instances. Save your money and your taste buds by avoiding this abomination of a boba tea at all costs.
