In mid-2016 we put an 1800 sq ft manufactured home on our son’s property in Washington State. The contractor we hired to set the home on the site did an extremely poor job in almost every respect. We finally complained to the Bureau of Labor and Industries. The contractor turned the issue over to his insurance adjuster who told us to hire an architect to tell us how to solve the drainage problems that were causing water to pool under the home.
We contacted several reputable architectural firms in Portland, Oregon, and Templin Architecture in Woodland, WA was highly recommended to us. Carl Templin met us on our property, heard about the issues we faced, took measurements and notes and asked us many questions.
On June 22, 2018, Carl drew up a Drainage Remediation Plan for our residence delineating six issues and six recommended solutions to those issues. Two months later, after more information had come to light, Carl had no problem discussing what he observed with a couple of civil engineers, doing even more research, talking with our insurance adjuster and coming up with a revised remediation plan for our property.
He was thorough in his preparation, was very conscientious and had integrity. We felt like Carl treated our problems as if they were his own, and he showed us he cared. To us, he is the epitome of a professional but a professional with a heart!! We would recommend Carl to anyone looking for an excellent architect!
