Bought a 2006 F150 with a rebuilt transmission from Tepeke (4R70W). Transmission was “just” rebuilt. Transmission looked painted and new so I took the word of the seller. I put 300 miles on the truck before I lost reverse gear. Bummer for me as I didn’t want to do the transmission. Took it apart myself, as I’m a mechanic, and it had the bare minimum done. The only reason I’m not giving 1 star is the seller probably asked for the bare minimum to get it moving again. Reverse band was metal to metal on the rear planetary. I know they didn’t replace it because the new bands have date codes. Personally if I’m going to attach my name to work, I complete all the work.
