I have had a horrible experience with the billing department. As a new patient, Barbara contacted me over the phone to go over pricing. She is very rude and impatient, and keep implying that I didn't read or listen to her carefully.
In fact, I know very clearly that:
1) Dr. Engler told me my quote will be on the patient portal, while Barbara says the prices can not be communicated on paper, only disclosable over the phone, and may change at any time. This already sounds very shady. 2) There is an upfront payment that's non-refundable even if you decide to pause/terminate the treatment in the middle.
What annoyed (and embarrassed) her was my confirmation of these facts.
I like Dr. Engler a lot. Two stars go to the Doctor.
P.S. My husband was about to see them tomorrow out of my referral, but he canceled the appointment because of this ugly experience.
