I am NEVER coming to this store again! After being a customer for a few years, today the owner David Heller acussed me of stealing an item from the store. I live in the corner of 21St and Clement, very close to the store on Geary Blvd. I've been in this neighborhood for 10 years. I have been to the store many, many times to purchase different hair supplies. In fact I was there just a few weekends ago and got a DIVA hair product and I was helped by the owner David Heller. Which is why I was so surprissed when I stopped by the store today, to look at some mirrors. I was considering for a present for a friend. I checked the prices, but I didn't buy it as I just wanted to check prices. David Heller was there, and he saw me and greeted me. I greeted him back. I put the mirror back and proceed to get out of the store and walk to my apartment. I had my headphones on, so I couldn't hear that Mr. Heller had been following me all the way to the corner of where I live. He stopped me and asked me right there on the street in front of everyone to open my bag, because he said "I took something" implying I had stolen something front store. First I refused to open my bag as I felt so surprised and humiliated by such an accusation. But he continued to insist that had stolen something- I opened my bag to prove that I had NOTHING. People were watching curiously which was extremely embarrassing. He repeated that I had taken something and walked back to the store- I followed him completely humiliated and embarrassed at the disgraceful accusation that he made against me. I followed him back to the store, he refused to acknowledge me in any way. I reached the store immediately after him. Once again he wouldn't admit that he was wrong so I opened my bag and emptied all its contents inside on the floor so he could see I took nothing. ONLY THEN he said- OK and made an insincere apology. I was extremely upset and began crying. I came home and told my husband exactly what had happened. Since the store is very close by, we both went back to talk to him to clarify why he had been so unbelievebly rude. I felt discriminated against due to my hispanic ethnicity. When my husband and I asked him why he had behaved so badly, he changed his story completely saying he had apologized immediately which simply was NOT true. His behavior is unacceptable. I have been a client of this store for several years and live in the neighborhood, I have never encountered anything like this in the past. I believe this was an accusation based on my hispanic race. I am NEVER coming back to this store again! and will take social media to expose the case.
My hair is naturally dark brown, almost black, I tried to maintain my new blonde hair by periodically going into a salon or using over the counter bleach. I found that my hair through the years was so damaged and was lucky enough to find Lelia.
I was being lazy and reached for a store hair dye product, my hair not only turned a random color it was fried. I called Lelia and she was able to take me in today.
Miracle worker that she is, my hair is not only all ONE color it’s soft, shiny and manageable. Lelia has bleached my hair in the past and has kept it from breaking. I love that she is up on all of the new products as well as being educated in her field.
Was torn about writing my review, as I was afraid that word would get out about how great she and she would be completely booked.
