An amazing local gem that's doing good. I heard about this place through a friend of mine, so I was eager to check it out. It may seem like an odd location (it's a former liquor store), but once you arrive, you'll find it's the purfect place and space. Lots of natural light for the cats who are loved and cared for while they wait for their furever homes.

I absolutely LOVED this cat cafe. I have been to some cat cafes that try to cover "undesired" smells with strong aromas, leaving me wanting to take a shower afterwards. The Dancing Cat welcomes you with a clean smell - maybe they are able to keep up with cleaning because they don't have hundreds of cats, but it was a nice break. The staff were so friendly and more than accommodating with my last minute pop in without a reservation. (It was during the work week in the day, so perhaps that helped.) It wasn't overcrowded and the $10 donation was very reasonable. I'm used to at least $15+ per hour so I appreciated the lower cost - and quite frankly, anyone who complains about donating to helping homeless kitty's looking for a home should maybe consider a different outlook on life. Best cat cafe I have been to so far.

Love the experience here. The only cat cafe that I know of in San Jose as of today. I feel great to come over and see these rescued kitties because the proceeds will directly benefit them. These kitties can also be adopted to a good home. They are very gentle and some of them like to be petted. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves cats regardless of whether they would like to adopt one or not.
