I have been going to Dr Banionis for several years. I had asked previously about being referred to a dietician, his response was basically eat better and drink water. Not the help I was asking for. About 4 years ago I began to have discomfort and swelling that the Dr., without any examination, chalked up to hemorrhoids. I was provided hemmeroid cream and sent on my way. The symptoms worsened, the swelling grew and I could tell I had some type of infection. I was referred to another Dr., he took one look and determined I had a large abscess and he drained it on the spot, providing long needed, albeit temporary relief. I was then referred to a specialist, underwent several exams, and it was determined I had a very large fistula tract that had developed over time. 4 surgeries later and I am still experiencing symptoms. One of the specialists i have seen asked if the Dr. I went originally even looked, I said no, explains that he wrote it off as hemmeroids, which did not surprise them that he did that. Anyway, my experience is that he is not attentive and not responsive to the patient input, and he basically makes his determination without a thorough exam. I am stuck with him as I have called to request a change of Dr., the Dr.s clinic said the other available Dr. Was “not a good fit”. I have called around in the last few months to find a new Dr., I have not found any offices taking new clients, and, because of my ongoing issues I am worried that a new insurance provider will not cover this pre-existing condition, which in my opinion could have been addressed much earlier if Dr Banionis had been more attentive.
