I was excited to find a cool dog grooming salon where dogs were free-range (because I have a dog who suffers from claustrophobia and he hates crates and kennels). And I love supporting small business! Over the past couple years I've taken my 3 dogs there about 7 times. I've never really felt appreciated. I don't think I was ever thanked for my business. The two owners are not friendly or engaging. Last week when I called for appointments I was put on hold and forgotten about. They knew it was me, the gal that answered the phone seemed to have my chart up. It happens; shops get busy. I figured they'd call me back. No one did. The next day I made appointments for my dogs at another locally owned shop. The owner was friendly. Inquired about my dogs, any health concerns, their quirks and I don't have to wait 6 weeks for an appointment. I'll give them a couple of tries and post a fair and honest review of their customer service to both me and my pets. If you're treated the same way at The Dog Shop (or anywhere you do business for that matter) remember, you have other options.
