I’ve been coming to Raquel for YEARS!!! Best salon I’ve been to. She’s inviting, clean, professional, & super fun to be around. I’m not sure what I’d do without Raquel, she’s honestly a hair god!!
So I was desperately looking for haircut and maybe color if I was lucky. I have really short hair so it never takes long or at least never takes much work. I tried calling the place it was really close to where I was so when there was no answer and it said it was open for a good long while still I just went over there. Upon arrival I could see clearly that there was only 1 stylist in the whole shop. When I open the door to ask if she had any availability for me she looked at me like I had invaded her personal space and how dare I! So I was friendly and upbeat and I said " Hi! I'm wondering if you or anyone else here may have any available time today for a cut and possibly a color." She quickly looked me up and down her lip curled up and her nose wrinkled like something smells real bad and said " No." , and promptly went back to the one client in the shop like I wasn't even there. So I said " how about tomorrow?" Again, "no!, I don't have anything open and nobody else does." And I know I wasn't imagining it this time oh, she was outright snarky. Still looking me up and down like I had some sort of communicable disease. I remember the look from the snarky popular girls in high school but they were 15. Well well, la tee da! Thanks for saving me the trouble and undoubtedly an unreasonably High price tag. I turned on my heel Center and immediately went over to Designer Cuts in Oakley where they were very friendly their prices were very affordable clean Salon several girls working the shop was packed and they got me in and out fast. On top of that I felt like we were old friends and when I left my awesome jacket there when I called the next day ask about it they knew exactly what I was talking about and had it right there at the counter when I came later that day just before they closed. So there's a difference in customer service that is not to be ignored. And I saw some really good stuff going on over there and that other salon so give them a shot over there at Designer Cuts on Main in Oakley it's a new place
