Great independent non-profit movie theatre that shows both new films that are hard to find otherwise, and classics of all kinds. Cool staff, free coffee and a nice lounge area all make it a comfy and very enjoyable experience. The movie (dawn of the dead, 1978) did cut to an unexpected intermission halfway through for about 10 minutes and there was no audio/dialogue for a few more, but it was clear the staff were doing everything they could to fix the issue which they did. I assume this doesn’t happen very often. Definitely the theatre of choice in Tacoma.

I went here for a friend's birthday party and it was such a neat little theatre!! I never knew about it until then but now I will definitely be going back there. It was super relaxed and really fun!

Cool theater. This was my first time going here to see Pink Floyd The Wall. It's ran by volunteers which I thought was pretty cool!! Especially for how good of service they provided. Everyone was very friendly. Not sure what the other theaters look like but the one I was in was on the smaller side, but we were seeing an old movie so not sure about the other theater rooms, but I really enjoyed the showing was a nice and comfortable. Would definitely recommend checking it out!!
