I never complain about anything, but I was so upset with the ineptitude of the Grand Theatre I wanted to share my experience with anyone who cares. I spent $148 x 2 for tickets to a concert on 9/16/23. The tickets stated the show started at 5:30 PM. We arrived at 5:15 PM. After paying a ridiculous fee of $25 for parking, we were informed the doors would not open until after 6:30 because they were doing a sound check.
By the way, the sound was absolutely terrible. The lights were so bright that people were covering their eyes. The seats had NO identifiers on them, and the "ushers" were no help. Neither was Vanessa, who claimed she was the daughter of the producer and promised he would be calling me about my concerns. No calls were received. Finally, talk about a waste of time...I left at 8:30 without seeing the artist I wanted to hear. For 2 hours I watched an absolutely terrible talent show consisting of children ages 11 and 12 trying to sing songs as well as an out of step group of centigenerians trying their best to dance to New York, New York while wearing hats from Chorus line.
Dont go there. Save your hard earned money. I would rather eat poison fish and puke my guts out for a day than return to this hell hole.
