Normally, I would have posted a positive review, as this Home Depot is my favorite. Having owned and operated a local business for over 14 starting in 2005. But a couple of weeks ago, I went in to return an item. I came through the lumber doors. I had the item in a Home Depot bucket and had my little dog with me. I saw a cashier at self-checkout, and a security officer was also standing nearby. I called out to the cashier, inquiring if returns were still straightforward down the aisle in front still. The security guy came forward a little and said yes and pointed in the direction to go. He and she both could see I had my return in the bucket. I went to customer service and, upon reaching the desk, had the urge to also visit the ladies' room. I asked where it was as I could not recall where in the store it actually was. I went to the restroom and then came back out. I started walking to returns again. When a friend of mines boyfriend turned down the aisle. I stopped to talk to him he had to use the restroom as well but was going to return with the cart he was pushing. He asked if I minded pushing it to the returns desk as he thought an employee might see it and try putting his things back. I said sure. Pushed his cart up near returns and told the lady my friend was in the bathroom and that his cart was right there. I returned my item and then went to stand in line to buy something that I needed.the cashier I saw earlier started talking loudly to someone In the line behind d me. I turned and my friends boyfriend was yelling back at her. They were saying something about returns. She then pointed to me and said I can check you out over here."" I thought, that's nice of her. I went and checked out using a gift card. She asked for my ID and then said to me, " I want you to know you have been marked." I said, " excuse me, what?" She again says you have been marked. We watched you push a cart up to the return desk, and you didn't have anything with you when you came in. " I said, I asked you where returns were when I walked in. I had the return in a bucket on my arm. " she said, "Goodbye." I walked outside, shaking my head. My friends boyfriend soon came out and I asked him what was going on. He just shook his head and said something , (I don't really remember). I asked him, " That lady said I had been marked, and did he know what that meant?" He didn't, and so I went back inside to the return desk and asked to see a manger. The cashier lady and the security guard walked up, and she says. I told you you're banned from this store. " I said, "what? You never said that. Why am I being banned? I've done nothing wrong!" She then says, "If you don't leave, I'm calling the police." The security guy the walked me outside the store and told me to get off the property. I've been coming to this Home Depot for so many years. I never ever had a complaint about them. I'm hurt and embarrassed so badly by this. I didn't want to write a review...but this has really weighed heavy on me...does anyone have any thought's?

Our experience was pretty pleasant. We had done our research and knew what wanted. We were able to get in and get out. We even got assistance from the Pro Loader that quickly assisted by bringing a forklift over and helped load us up. We were able to do this on our lunch hour and got back to work (Renton) on time👍
...very cool!
