Milpitas store - the Blinds dept - I gave one star however, it should be no stars. HOME DEPOT, a $357 billion corporation, has given me very poor customer service and very little respect over $643. I hope my treatment is not an example of bate and switch. Also as a 78 year old African-American woman, I hope elder abuse and racism have not reared its ugly head. I purchased 3 sets of blinds on sale for $328 in April. A week later I received an email summary of the purchase with a price of $895. I returned to the store and presented my sales receipt. The sales person who assisted me was unavailable, a manager in the dept said the order was submitted after the sale ended so I could not get the sale price even though I had a receipt for a sale price. I asked to speak to someone else - she said she was the person. She continued to disregard my receipt and said I could order similar blinds that were on sale. I told her OK and that I wanted exactly what I orderd previously. When she finished pulling the order together, the price was was $643. I signed, paid and left. HOWEVER, I did not get the specifics I had on the original order. The blinds in my original order had pull cords. The second order is cordless/I have to raise the heavy (40X70 in) blinds by hand. During the last four months & several phone calls, HOME DEPOT has refused to replace the blinds with a window covering that will not require me to raise it by hand/shoulder strength. They have repeatedly informed me that I will have to pay for new window coverings. Home Depot said that since I signed the second order, they are under no obligation to replace anything, it is my fault - even though the manager who placed the second order did not tell me that the second order included cordless blinds that I would have to raise by hand. I will never enter a Home Depot store again!
One of the busiest Home Depot I ever been into. Shopped here for ages, you can find almost building related products from the roof to the basement, from the low end, low budget to high ( not really high, high, high) end of everything!
One problem that I always have is hard to find staffs to ask questions. They are allusive, specially on the weekdays, weekends maybe little better! But the parking over the weekend at the Great Mall can be an issue too.
The professional check out line can be a long wait in the weekdays morning because all the contractors are here to pick their supplies for the day!
