It was about one year ago (late January 2023) when I decided to "try" Pilates. Monique came highly recommended to me by a very trusted / good friend / golf buddy. I was hesitant. Don't be a procrastinator like me!
I wish I had started earlier. Think of it like you might consider your financial future. What seems like a small investment each month adds up over time, accrues interest, and you will be amazed at the cumulative results.
If you're at all curious/interested, I HIGHLY recommend The House Pilates. Monique is one-of-a-kind. She has taught me so much over the past year (not just about Pilates!) I was intimidated initially, so I signed up for a private session, primarily to help ease my lower back pain. Fast forward one year: my lower back pain is GONE. I am stronger and more confident and I have met some of the most amazing people with stories similar to mine. We encourage each other. We laugh (sometimes I might curse!) together. For me, it has evolved from "I should probably do some exercise or something..." into "I cannot WAIT for my next session!" Monique keeps it fun and inspires me to keep learning, get stronger, challenge myself, and be a stronger, healthier person.
PS: I should mention that I go 1-3 times a week... this is DOABLE! You DO NOT have to commit a ridiculous amount of gym time!
