I personally lost over 70 lbs while training with Greg/Nathan the owners of the Muscle Shack. If you are looking for a new challenge or looking to lose bodyfat + improve your overall health this gym is a great place to be!

We're from out of town and our local gym is a 24 hour center with quite a bit of equipment. We wish the Muscle Shack was closer! The records and challenges on the walls are the perfect motivation. The atmosphere is no frills and let's push each other to improvement. The only equipment we missed was a lower cable pull, but resistance bands did the trick. For a couple who work out together, this was a highlight of an anniversary vacation!

From the minute you step foot inside The Muscle Shack, the environment is welcoming and challenging all at once. This is a good thing, of course. Trainers Greg and Nathan are the two nicest guys in town, but they will push you toward your fitness goals relentlessly, until you learn to push yourself with under the same set of objectives and expectations. Nathan has helped me to see my own potential as a beginning weightlifter, and has been my trainer for the past five months, but also a mentor and companion through my transition from lifting light at the YMCA to lifting heavy at The Muscle Shack - a transition that can be sometimes be daunting for women, as we develop strength, follow a program, avoid injury, and adopt a good nutrition plan. I am obsessed with this gym, it is my happy place, and I cannot recommend it enough, or encourage you strongly enough (pun intended), to seek it out and seek out Nathan and Greg's services. It is a unique gem in the landscape of this Valley's fitness offerings, and worth every penny for the membership and/or training sessions. If you want to take your physical performance to the next level, or are curious to embark on the next steps of learning about what your body can achieve, I encourage you wholeheartedly to reach out to them so that they can help you put this foundation in place. You'll laugh, you'll maybe cry (but in a good way), if you're like me you'll squeal with excitement now and then, you'll firm up, feel strong, get stronger, and you'll learn to grind through. And that's one of the best life skills anyone could hope to acquire.
