I am just going to list 4 simple FACTS about our experiences with The Pawington (I have all the evidence):
Beyond heartbreak and anger, what would you do if you were in our position?
I needed boarding for my 6 month old pup, and I boarded him at the Pawington, which was recommended by my dog trainer. My pup had a great experience, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a fair amount of paperwork to submit and you have to schedule a temperament test for the dog before you can board there, but I think that's commonplace at all boarding facilities.
It was reassuring to be able to check on my pup with the webcams, both in his suite at night and in the common play areas during the day.
I am a new customer and have taken my rescue Frenchie at this place 7 times. The first couple of day care, it was a positive experience for me and my Olivia. She comes home always highly stimulated and happy. Day 4 or 5 of her day care I noticed I don't see her in the webcam often. I was informed that when dogs are too hyperactive they are are removed from the yard for a break or time-out. I agree. Last Tuesday (7/2), one of the hottest days this week, Olivia came home not her usual self. I was told she was put on time out twice because she nipped another dogs ear. I was told the area where she was put is a separate room but is still within the yard with a bucket of water. I don't know what the actual condition was in that room but suffice to say, Olivia came home dazed, lethargic, and not herself. I took her to the vet the next day and although all her vitals are good, the vet believes something must have happened that day because she is in a trauma state. I asked for a full account of what happened but of course the establishment is not going to admit to any wrong doing. The weather temperature was a big factor but in my eyes, they failed to ensure that Olivia was not overheating. I am very disappointed because this place was highly recommended to me. Maybe this is a one off incident but it is a one off incident that happened to MY DOG and that is enough for me to not trust this establishment.
