I visited March 24th, 2023. I spent about five hours at the museum checking out every exhibit. The tour guides, many retired veterans, were knowledgeable on the different types of aircraft and artifacts on display. One volunteer was a navigator on the first gunship, AC-47, that flew during Vietnam. The Red Barn exhibit showcased the early history of the Boeing Company and how its direction changed through the years from producing commercial and military aircraft. It’s a great exhibit for any aviation fanatic and Seattleite. It shows the long and rich aviation history in the Puget Sound. I’ve had the pleasure of working on the Lockheed Martin MC-130J and AC-130J while serving in the U.S. Air Force and have plenty of friends and family that work for Boeing at the Renton and Everett facilities. I’ve worked with the Boeing Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS) as a way to streamline aircraft maintenance and technical orders. I thoroughly enjoyed the Red Barn exhibit.
