Place is amazing, been here a couple of times the catfish is to die for, the chicken and waffles complement each other with the syrup and hot sauce, flavor is immaculate, the drinks are served perfectly, the choice of music in their dining hall is great, and the interior improves drastically for a new business, bathrooms are clean, owner/owners are polite and respectful. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

Loved this place!!!! The food was great and the service was excellent. Liked the very simple menu. Ordered chicken and waffles, a 3 wing dinner, a thigh wing & drum dinner, and a kids meal. Chicken was fresh and seasoned well, all sides were cooked really good and tasted great (had greens, cabbage, mac & cheese, and yams....cabbage was a lil salty but still really good), and the waffle was lite and flavorful. We received lovely service from the waitress. Also got a chance to speak to the owner who was a nice gentleman. We discussed his roots and mine, and had a short conversation about food (I'm a foodie so that was right up my alley). All that being said, I would definitely go there again and certainly recommend it to any and all who love real soul food.

The food was wonderful! We enjoyed everything on our plate. The Chef can really cook! The little old lady that served us was super sweet. I really was happy that they don't use any pork in their side dishes. The owner/chef came out and spoke with us and made sure we felt right at home. Plus I was able to support black business so that was the cherry on top for me!!!
