The State hotel’s location is 11/10! The room, lobby, and hotel in general was clean and very aesthetically pleasing. A few things that I’d like to let anyone know is that the parking is a block away and is TIGHT please put up your mirrors up and was $27 for a day and honesty for a parking garage in Seattle not bad at all. Do not listen to Apple Maps because it will take you in circles just to make you turn into a street that is closed. My room had a view of a wall and cooing birds, but I think I prefer that than changing in front of a busy street (you get what you paid for booking with a third party site lol). Another thing the security deposit was $100, which is normal and absolutely fine. There also was an amenity fee of $25 daily. I paid a resort fee of $24.97 on my third party booking site ahead and at checkout $25 was taken out of my security deposit for amenity fees. For my 1 night stay I paid an extra $25 to be there for less than 24 hours, so $50 of amenity fees for a 1 night stay? I probably should’ve asked if that was correct, but it is what it is. The restaurant was nice, you are definitely paying for convenience not taste. I was surprised that the vegetarian options were limited to avo toast or pancakes for items on the menu without modifications? These are not complaints but information that I hope will be helpful for anyone visiting to get a better idea of fees and what to expect.
Affordable, roomy, and in a great location for anyone visiting downtown Seattle. Moderately more expensive than other 'boutique' hotels in the area (for example, Palihotel) but also much nicer rooms.
The amenity fee ($25/night) is slightly annoying but the hotel's restaurant is more worth using the $15 credit at than most.
