Jan 2024 We have lost Gramma June since the prior review. I'd like to thank the staff, residents and especially Tracy who kindly made a trip to the hospital for a meeting with the family, to aid in facilitating what would be the best care for her, as we thought she would return to the Mustard Seed. You could see the joy in Traceys eyes as she saw how improved Gramma June was during that meeting and we were all hopeful to get her back home, even if a wheelchair would have been required and leveled up her care. Sadly while at a nursing home she suffered another seizure and passed about a week later surrounded by family until her last breath. ..........................................................
My Gramma ( 93yr old ) is a resident at this new facility. The nurses and staff are so nice and very helpful. I am visiting from out of state and I was able to sit down and have lunch with my gramma and several of the other residents, who choose to come to the dining room for meal time ( they can eat in their seperate rooms if they want)
There are 3 separate "wings" and the farthest being Memory Care- for residents who need additional help from staff and are not able to go between the other 2 wings. The other 2 wings of assisted living residents have the freedom to walk around inside or out. Each resident is given an emergency button to call for a nurse if needed- and buttons built into their room and bathroom/shower.
This is a beautiful new facility with multiple kitchens, family/ TV/ game/ reading rooms, a hair salon, and spa tub ( by appointment and assistance from nursing staff when needed ) There are no stairs, everything is built like a large ranch style home.
From my observation, 95% of the residents are women- men are welcome too. I am happy my family is close, and able to visit weekly, since I only come up twice a year. I'm happy to know my Gramma is being taken care of by a friendly and knowledgeable staff and team! Thank you
