I have had a unit for almost a year. I needed to get some things out and had not been there in months. I put my access code in and nothing, the gate didn’t budge, I tried several times, nothing. Three more people came by and tried their codes, nothing. I was there about an hour and called the establishment several times only to get their voice mail. A gentleman called me after I got home and assured me several times that it would be operational the next day. The next day, I called and texted to confirm that it would be, again I got only the voice mail. I took a chance and went, entered my code, nothing!!! Called and texted several times, again voicemail. The same man called after I had gotten home, said they had not fixed it. I asked why they did not call me and let me know, he said they were very busy with lots of calls from their clients and new clients looking for storage I have used this storage location off and on since the 1980s, never any problems until now. Businesses live and die by the quality or lack of customer service, I don’t hold out much hope for this one. I was shocked at the appearance of the grounds, weeds growing and the garbage dumpster was overflowing. Day 3, I will go tomorrow and try again, just too old and tired to try today. But I do have hope it will be repaired Monday. I must give them a pat on the back and give them credit for improving their customer service. I was so surprised when I checked my email this morning and found a credit to my account, so they are trying. It wasn’t huge but it was letting me know they do understand. They may be new owners and are trying to clean up previous problems, I don’t know but because of the effort I will change my rating. I would also like to say, when I spoke to the gentleman he was always very nice even though I was upset and probably not so nice.
