Paid for Manicure and Pedicure (~$105) The two ladies were very welcoming, especially the younger one. The pedicure was done extremely well, and the small talk was very nice. We connected over cultures and similar backgrounds, and that made me feel so happy. I was hopeful. 🇻🇳🇰🇭🇺🇸 The manicure is a different story. As you can see in the photos, two of the nails are placed improperly, the polish is rushed, and the underside is unpainted, so you can see through the acrylics. I can forgive the translucency and the polish, but the improper placement was the worst part due to them potentially lifting the natural nail underneath off. The older lady insisted that she could file and paint them to "fix" them when, in reality, she should have soaked them and removed them and put on new ones. In the photos, you can see how harsh the angle is. They are painful to wear. I offered extra money for their time, but the older lady insisted. We were rushed out due to them closing at 7 o'clock (which, as a fellow working force person, I understand and I agree that we should have come in much earlier and if they see this, I want to apologize for that.) But more importantly, After telling the older lady that we wanted to remove the 2 nails that are angled upwards (and offering to pay extra), she insisted that it was fine and ignored us. She then became passive-aggressive and stopped being friendly. Yanking my girlfriend's hand, digging her nails into her skin, turning her wrist hard, filing the nails erratically and almost cutting her skin, etc. Don't come here. If they mess up, they are not willing to fix it, and worse yet, they will try to hurt you by yanking and filing aggressively Horrible, rude, and violent behavior. I understand that it was my mistake for coming in so late. But seeing my girlfriend in pain, just because we asked you to redo 2 nails, is not acceptable. For those wondering why I did NOT confront the woman, in my culture, we were taught to respect our elders, so I was extremely conflicted at the time (I mean this woman looks like my grandmother for Christ's sake 😕) I was conflicted and didn't know how to react. I had never even SEEN a worker treat a customer like this. I would like to reiterate that I was willing to compensate for the extra materials and time. All I wanted was to give my girlfriend a nice present, and it ended up in her getting scratched, yanked, and filed by a stranger. I want to give at least 2 or 3 stars for all the good that came from this shop, the friendly small talk, the professional pedicure, the effort to connect to the customer, but because of the PHYSICAL harm that happened to someone I love, I can only give a 1 star rating. Come in early, try not to offend the worker... honestly, I don't know what to say anymore. I am afraid to go back there due to retaliation.
