This post is for cyclists. The visitor center is kind enough to allow touring cyclists to camp behind the center. The guidance says that the sprinkler comes on at 9AM, but for me it came on at 10PM as I was hitting deep sleep. The area that is dirt, with no grass is not hit by the sprinklers. So as inviting as the lush gree grass is, DON'T camp on it.
