My wife and I lost our little fur baby Charlie back in May, 2022. I don't even know if we had scheduled another grooming appointment for July or not, but my wife received a voicemail from Top Dogs telling her that our dog Charlie was ready to be picked up 2 months after he passed away. Not only was this re-traumatizing for both of us and incredibly confusing, but I also then had to call Top Dogs and leave a voicemail (because no one there ever answers the business phone any time we've ever called during business hours) and explain why I was calling since another Charlie might now be waiting for their parent to pick them up and we were called instead. Again, I don't know the cause since they don't answer any phones to talk unless they're replying to a voicemail they've received. This was at minimum unprofessional, and for us it was incredibly traumatic, confusing, angering, and disappointing.
I probably never would have left a review if this incident had not happened, but here we are, so I guess I will discuss the grooming as well. We always asked that Charlie have his hair shaved very short from his head all the way through his tail, and for whatever reason the groomer(s) would cut his hair very short everywhere except his tail and leave it very bushy. So it always felt like they listened to about 85% of what we asked them to do, and then didn't completely follow through with what we requested. Immensely sad right now for what my wife has now gone through, and I hope they're more careful when they call other folks to alert them their furry family members are ready for pick up.
