Visited this location for free hockey card day around 10:30am. Most of the staff seemed super nice but when I got to the till one employee in particular was pretty rude with me. I kindly asked if this location was taking part in free hockey card day and the lady loudly sighed and told me “yeah but it’s actually supposed to be for kids”. I appreciated that she still gave me a sheet of hockey cards but I didn’t appreciate her rudeness. I’ve been looking forward to this day for months now and not once have I seen anything saying it’s explicitly for kids. From what I’ve seen the upper deck website and NHL website state ‘one per customer’. Also you have no idea if I’m actually getting them for myself or my little brother.
Afterwards I went over to the toys r us on the south side. The staff were all super friendly and when I asked about the cards they redirected me to customer service and gave me a sheet without any hassle or rudeness.
I do understand that it would be quite annoying being asked about hockey cards all day long but you’ve got to keep your composure.
