This place is great! I have been training with Todd here for a bit over a month and love it.
What I like:
- The studio and equipment are brand new and well maintained. Each private lesson area has its own full set of equipment for strength/cross/aerobic training: olympic rack, cable system, benches, free weights, bands, bosu balls, jump pads, etc.
- My instructor, Todd, is experienced, knowledgeable, and responsive.
- Instructors do some light body work at the end of lessons, which is a great way to end a session. Stretching on a massage table, massage gun, etc.
- The gym consists of four separate private training studios, so it's never going to be crowded. When I've been there, it has always been just me or at most one other lesson.
- They keep an air purifier running and two sets of front doors open, so the space is well ventilated and seems like a low risk for Covid exposure.
- The owners are super friendly. They greet you when you arrive/leave and offer complimentary water/coffee/snacks.
Trainability is private-lesson-only gym, although there is some aerobic equipment in the entryway which you can use on your own before/after a private session. The private lesson rate is very reasonable (by San Francisco standards...) at $90/hr with my instructor, Todd. For the attention and results you get from private training vs. a normal gym membership, I think that's a bargain.
