A perfect example of how people can make a big difference. We stayed here for two nights to see the Burger Boogaloo festival across the street. Let's be honest, the property and area is not a resort destination and we didn't expect it to be. But the manager and staff made our stay very comfortable. They were friendly, attentive and most importantly they really cared about making our stay enjoyable.

The travel inn is not really a nice vacation spot. However it you are looking for a seedy hotel that doesn't care how loud or crazy you get, allows pets and all night yelling and screaming, then this is the place for you. I will say the room I was in was nicely remodeled with a nice new and clean tub. The maids are awesome and bring fresh towels every morning. There are several HBO channels as well as basic cable. It's walking distance from Bart and right next door to a Carl's Jr.

Stayed here 5 nights in May, 2018. Very basic hotel. Walk to Kaiser. Newly upgraded rooms with tile floors. Huge plus for me. I hate dirty carpets. I highly recommend if you want a good, clean place to stay. Managers were super nice and friendly. Area of Oakland is not great but I never had any problems walking back and forth to Kaiser, Sprouts or restaurants, or never felt in any danger. Free parking at hotel a plus.
