My husband and I flew into Seattle with our 3 kids to take an early-morning ferry up to BC and we needed a place to stay for the night before we left. Truth be told, we only booked this place because it was the cheapest place near the Clipper terminal. Honestly, i was dreading it and thought it would be a pretty crappy experience. But I was soo pleasantly surprised by how great it was!!
First, the people who run this hotel are incredibly nice. Happily accommodated our youngest child with a cot for the room and there was ample space for it. We had to leave at 6am for our ferry and they made sure to have to-go breakfast bags available at the desk on our way out. The kids loved swimming in the outdoor heated pool while my husband and I relaxed in the hot tub. It was just an all-around great experience, contrary to my snobby concerns.
Is it a luxury spa resort? No, of course not! But the value for what you get is sky-high and it's a great place in an awesome location.
We are so grateful for a great night in Seattle and will be back again whenever we're spending the night en route to our ferry.
This was the worst stay I have ever had. First off when you pay for a room, don't you usually get a parking space? Umm no, I had to pay $20 extra to park my car on their premises. The room itself when you first enter looks nice. But, then you look around and see small things all over that make a place look bad. Molding peeling away from walls. Instead of fixing the right way they took finishing nails and tried fixing it. It looked horrible. This was on the rubber molding. 2 areas had I'm not sure what happened to wall but it was just patched with a piece of plywood and painted, didn't try to texture to make look nice. The comforter that was on one of the beds was not very nice as far as looks. It was one of those types I think you slip on the actual blanket and it wasn't tucked in like it should be. It had the corners of the blanket hanging out of it. It made you not want to use it at all, and I didn't. Bed itself was comfortable. There is alot of cheap cover ups in the room. The shower was tiny probably 3 foot by 3 foot size. (Not exaggerating) Not even what the the pictures on their web site show. I'm talking a little box shower with no lighting overhead. Like the type in the old days. The breakfast consisted of a paper sack that had a bottle of water, apple, granola bar and little coffee cake of some kind. Nothing was said about where you would come for breakfast or that you pick up here or times etc. When we went back downstairs I asked and he told us at front desk. When greeted as we checked in not even a smile to greet you. When I checked in and they asked me if I would need a parking pass and it was another charge. I said wow! And all 3 of the people behind the desk just gave me blank looks and said well this is Seattle. If only it would let me post the pictures I took.
Do not recommend staying here at all.
