We are downsizing so my husband rented this unit to store things we intend to sell. We have been selling things for months out of our unit. Today, I was selling things, garage sale style, and they asked me to stop. Reason was they did not want a bunch of strangers on the property. I did not remember this in the agreement. It took me awhile to get things all put away. I was threatened with fines. I put in my 30 days notice while I was there. I went home and looked up the agreement. There is no provisions in the rules for having other individuals on the property. There is no provision for the administration of fines. There is no provisions for the sale of personal property on site.
If you are interested in customer service, this place is a hard pass. The owners are clearly only interested in their bottom line and not in assisting customers with their goals/aims/purposes... the heart of customer service.
If you are interested in security, the guise under which they protested, while they do have cameras everywhere, anyone can get in there whether they have a formal relationship with the org or not. In 3 months, I've never been questioned. Case in point- I was able to put in 30 days notice on the unit even though I'm not the guy who rented the unit. I have no contractual relationship with them. They did not ask for ID. I guess anyone can walk right up to security and cancel or change your contract with them. That's not very secure.
