UPDATE: I called to cancel on August 16th any upcoming services and even have a cancellation # and I’ve been receiving phone calls since then stating a technician will be at my property to perform a scheduled service. Why can’t TruGreen get their act together. I canceled because I DO NOT want TruGreen to further ruin my landscape or charge me for a service they didn’t complete. Horrible service and I still do not recommend TruGreen if you want a healthy lawn. I have brown patches from over fertilizing (twice in a month and dropping heavy amounts in areas that I have dead patches and now dirt)in the 85-90 degrees heat and they never came to do weed treatment that was also included in my “TrueHealth” plan. They will tell you to call and they will have someone come back to either do an assessment or apply an application that wasn’t done but no one comes out or they send someone to apply the same thing they already done, in my case it was always fertilizers so now my lawns have brown patches and weeds I’m beyond frustrated with this company!!
I’ve had TrueGreen since 2018 after having issues with another company and up to 2020 I’ve been happy with the results. My lawns were inundated with moss and weeds and brown spots and with the Truehealth services treatment services my lawns looked beautiful. I have three other services added which are tree and shrub, mosquito and grub control. In 2021 I started having issues with the technicians not coming to do the applications or not doing the total areas I contracted with TrueGreen to do so weeds started popping up and I was getting billed for services never completed. One of the technicians dropped a bunch of Lyme in an area and didn’t try to clean up. I called to cancel and I was talked out of canceling and I gave them another chance. Now it’s August and January of this year (2022), I’ve supposed to had tree and shrub service performed at least 3 times and NOTHING. I’m supposed to have 3 treatments mosquito spraying and only received one and they kept sending someone out to do fertilizer treatment but don’t have anyone trained to do the weeding part so I’ve been paying just for fertilizer which weed and fertilizer treatment is included in the TrueHealth service that I’ve been paying for. Moreover, the technician that came out to do July treatment dropped a huge amount of fertilizer in a corner area and burned my lawn then they sent someone back to add a product called Revive and that made the area worse so now I have a huge patch of dirt where my nice green lawn used to be. I tried canceling again and spoke with a regional manager telling me they’d escalate it and send the area manager out to evaluate so I stuck with TrueGreen yet, once more. Instead of sending a manager they sent someone out to perform ANOTHER FERTILIZER so I’ve had 3 fertilizer treatment in 3 weeks and NO WEED CONTROL. The area manager Ken called and assured me he’d not only send someone out to do the weed treatment but he sent someone out (Chris) to take pictures instead. Last week got notifications in the app that someone would come out to perform my TruHealth service AGAIN and I called to make sure it was for the weeding treatment and Ken assured me it was and wouldn’t you know it, Chris was back to perform a fertilizer treatment. In the past year and half, the services with TrueGreen have drastically gone down hill. I’ve had to deal with no-shows, over fertilization causing burn patches, no mosquito control, no weed control so my lawns are once again consumed with weeds and had I caught the fact that o one was doing the weed control along with the fertilizer I’d had gotten control before they took over again. I’m so sad that I have had to cancel but I’m frustrated with the way they’ve been doing business. I will not recommend using TrueGreen and finding another service or will end up just doing everything myself and will save me the frustration and the money.
