This was my first time here and I wish I could have more but I can’t because I’m out of town. I got a ube taikyi cone with a Nutella filling. It was sooo good would recommend.

Uji Time is always very busy in Japan Town in SF, but their downtown branch is easy to get tasty Matcha gelato with cute Taiyaki cone. I went there on Thursday afternoon and Friday afternoon. The shop was not packed, and I got it in 5min. On the weekend, this shop is kinda busy, but compared to the shop in Japan Town, the waiting time is less. My recommendation menu is Matcha gelato with Taiyaki corn and colorful sprinkles and pockies as toppings. Staffs are fine. They are not so welcoming, but they work quickly!

I love that this location is closer to me than the others. Makes it easier to enjoy a sweet treat on the way back from getting groceries. The matcha and sesame swirl was very good. The sesame flavor could have been a bit more prominent. The matcha flavor was on point. The red bean in the taiyaki is great. The taiyaki itself could have been a bit more fresh. I understand they make them in batches, but letting them sit for quite a while is not ideal either. Overall, it is worth repeat visits.
