My recent experience at Ulta was unexpectedly disappointing. I approached the checkout counter with the intention of using a gift card, only to be refused by the manager, who claimed she lacked experience with such transactions. This left me bewildered, especially given the simplicity of using a gift card.
Despite being the only person in line and the store being relatively quiet, the manager refused to seek assistance from her coworkers, insisting they were all busy. This lack of initiative and the inability to handle a basic transaction reflected poorly on the manager's competence.
It's disheartening to witness such a lack of basic knowledge about store operations from a managerial position. The management's decision to appoint someone with these shortcomings is questionable, and it significantly impacted the overall customer experience.
Regrettably, I cannot recommend others to shop at this Ulta location, as my encounter did not reflect the standards I associate with the Ulta brand. It's essential for a store's management to be proficient and knowledgeable, ensuring a positive and smooth customer experience. Unfortunately, this was not the case, and it has left me hesitant about returning to this particular Ulta store.
