I experienced discrimination at this store. It has been many months since the harassment, but it still hurts my feelings.
I went to have my hair done for a special occasion, and Brittany, the Elite Stylist described on the website, wasn't really skillful with my hair. I kindly asked her to fix my hair as the final outcome was very different from what I expected.
Not having my desired look was not an issue at all. It can happen at any time, right? But when I tried to ask her to fix my hair in the kindest manner possible, Brittany didn't seem to listen to me at all. And at the end, she said, " So, what language do you speak? I will bring someone who can translate for you." I was shocked at her response but tried to be calm and told her it was not the right way to handle my request. Her response was, "okay, do you want to speak to our manager?" , and she just walked away.
The store manager(Anthony) came and told me that there was nothing wrong with Brittany's reaction. The store manager had a big smile on his face while dealing with this situation. I knew there was nothing I could do when I saw the manager's reaction.
I emailed the Ulta Corporate Customer Service Center but did not hear any response. Now I know no one at Ulta takes this kind of discrimination seriously.
I want them to be more educated and sensible on the topic of discrimination because it is simply not the right thing to do.
