My friend and I had brunch there. Food was above average. The cafe is conveniently near Highway 16 and in an older business district that reminds me of Highway 99 in North Seattle. They are popular with seniors and were very busy when we arrived on a weekday. Our food arrived quickly which was good.
I hesitate to leave a negative review and I'm the type of person who is very laid back and always gives people the benefit of the doubt, however 2 out of the 3 employees appeared exhausting and were unfriendly bordering on rude.
When we visited the restaurant was about 3/4 full and 1/4 of the empty tables were apparently dirty.
Upon entering my friend saw an empty booth she liked and politely asked if it was available and the staff person snapped, "NO, it's dirty!" Then my friend politely asked if a different empty table in another section was ok for us, and the same woman snapped again almost yelling, "NO, THEY'RE BOTH DIRTY!" I told her it was not a problem we didn't mind waiting. Later a different woman who was cleaning tables looked at us standing there quietly hanging out in the lobby talking and said in a terse tone, "You're going to have to wait, we're very busy." I told her, "It's ok, we're not in a rush."
But the young woman who greeted us at the door was very kind. There are other nicer places to eat in Port Orchard at this price range unless you're really craving the Mom and Pop greasy spoon vibe and don't go there during peak times. I won't be back because of the bad customer service.
