PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING HERE I was recommended to this appliance store by a co-worker of mine who I had been speaking to about my refrigerator problem. I did not expect much due to the area, however I thought what do I have to lose let me give this place a shot.
1.) Upon walking in I was greeted by a lady Jennifer (Sales lady) who had no knowledge on the products she was selling. Didn't pay it no mind I had did my own research on the basics of what I was interested in.
2.) This place sounded like a daycare facility kids running around and crying. The even have a crib in the store!
3.) They work with a finance company, SNAP finance. When you pay off your merchandise they DO NOT report your payment responsibility to the 3 major credit bureaus, due to they base your approval on gross income rather than your actual credit score OK fair enough. Still giving them the benefit of the doubt.
4.) The lady Mayra who entered my order into the system was very sweet and tried her best to help all while attending to her kids, walk-in customers, answering the telephone and posting on Instagram ALL AT THE SAME TIME!!
5.) I purchased a brand new Whirlpool refrigerator and was advised by Mayra that I will be receiving a "NEW in the BOX" item. I was happy to schedule my delivery date the following day at 4-6 pm. However, was called at my office at 12:00pm the delivery drivers were ahead of schedule and on their way to my home. I rushed out of my office and headed home, two young gentleman worked quickly to haul away my old fridge and bring in the new one. I immediately noticed that this item was not in a box as I was promised by Mayra at the store. The said they removed it from the box due to shipping purposes but assured this was the new refrigerator. As I rushed back to work I did not get a chance to inspect the fridge thoroughly, my mistake. At 6:00 pm that evening when my husband got home he called me to tell me that the front door was DENTED. The dent was about the size of a quarter, but that's beside the point. I paid over $728.00 for this refrigerator, I immediately called the appliance store and spoke to Mayra she had no idea what to do nor how to react to my allegations. Which goes back to the zero customer skills that I received when I walked through the door to begin with. I than spoke to " THE MANAGER" who had not only blamed my children for denting the door (mind you, they were not even home) and said that "ALL SALES ARE FINAL". I stressed that this happened during the rushed and unexpected delivery and that they are responsible for fixing or replacing the item. They promised a call back which never happened! I called the finance company they said that they go by the stores return policy. So again I was screwed over!
6.) After countless calls, I drove back to Unique appliance store and talked to "THE MANAGER" who said he has to wait and see what the finance company says. I stressed I did not have time to be going back and forth and needed to know whether my BRAND new refrigerator door that I purchased from his store was going to be replaced. And if he wished that we wait for the finance company, I immediately called them and put them on speaker. He felt foolish and said "You know what, hang up on them. We will replace the door for you tomorrow at 11:00 am. And if you didn't dent the door that means that they did, and pointed towards the two delivery drivers. He also stated that they will be liable for it and that it was coming out of their paychecks!!! I was livid but walked away knowing that my door would be fixed the following day.
7.) The following day, I was called by the lady Jennifer who had no idea how to speak to begin with, she stated that in order for the delivery guys to come out I had to pay an additional $80 for installation. I had just about enough with the senseless people who took absolutely zero accountability for THEIR MISTAKE. I told them to keep their replacement, I will deal with the dent and I will NEVER do business with them again. THIS PLACE IS GARBAGE!!!!!! What a waste!
