The trucks pass by my house every Friday. They don't pick up my trash although I always have it outside on Friday mornings before 5 AM. When I come back from work, I always find out that the trash is still there and call costumer service. The operator promise that they will order to pick it up later. Some times they pick it up later but most of the time they pick it up until Monday or Tuesday. It is unfortunate that I have to call every Friday for that since this company is servicing the city of South Gate. I have been living hear for 23 years and have never had this problem since Universal Waste Systems started doing this service for us. I pay monthly ON TIME and I believe that I deserve a good service from them. I also called them to pick up a table and chairs, and they didn't. I called them again, and didn't pick them up. I don't know if there is a miscommunication between the main office with the drivers, but they need to do something to change this horrible way of operating their company.

Ever since the waste service bid for our community was taken off Athens Waste Management to Universal Waste Systems, the service has been extremely poor and higher cost (although the reason for the switch was communicated as that it was cost saving). I can‘t count the times anymore that I had to call UWS to tell them they forgot to empty the trash cans in our street on their weekly tour. Often, I do not have the time to wait on hold on the phone (30 min-1 hour) to tell a customer representative to send a truck. I‘ve actually been right now on hold to complain again for not providing their service, and after 30 min wait time just got kicked off the phone line!! They also charge us for an extra green bin, which Athens never did. The bins themselves are of a much flimsier material than the ones by Athens, so we find them typically flipped over laying on the street (not curb) after serviced. If I could give zero stars, I would
