Friendly small-town vibe, usually some country & western on the speakers. All this with a very sophisticated wine program, and a surprisingly ambitious (and successful) kitchen.
You can get a flight of 6 wines, mostly WA stuff, to get a sense of what you like. All 6 of those wines, plus something bubbly, are open to order by the glass. You can crack a bottle and have some (or all) and take the rest home.
They've really fixed this place up, as of 2024. Big outdoor deck with tons of tables, lots of comfortable seating indoors. They often have the Hawks and some other games on.
The staff is very well-versed in wine, and they give you great info about each pour--where it was grown, who made it, and what to look for in the flavors (and how they got there). It never feels like a classroom lecture, either--just friendly chat.
Their kitchen gets better and better. They start with the classic book-club wine snack (that being popcorn), and expand from there. Tons of good dips, warm cheeses, flatbreads, all good wine snacks and light meals.
The wine clubs are well worth looking over. You can focus on any grape-color and price point you like, and you get nice perks with your bottles each month. It's a great way to learn NW wines (mostly WA) while saving a bit on price. I always want to have at least one retailer wine club in my mix so I'm always trying new wineries. Much as I love club boxes from the wineries themselves, we all need variety.
