It was my first time in (after reading a ton of great reviews which got me in in the first place), and will certainly not be my last.
I didn’t catch her name, but the person at the counter this Sunday afternoon was somehow juggling a million customers while still sharing her warmth as well as her knowledge and excitement about plants.
The customers she was helping ahead of me brought in their orchid that wasn’t doing too well. She listened to what was up with it, answered some questions and gave them some helpful advice, and helped them re-pot it on-site. They started moving to the cash register, and she quietly waved them off saying, “Oh, that’s maybe a dollar in soil; I’ll see you guys next time,” with a smile. With that kind of selection, style, warmth, knowledge, and service, I can see how that shop has its following! If I’m going to spend too much on my plant addiction (guys, HELP, I’m out of control!), this is exactly where I’d like to do it :)
