Contracted to have both plumbing and electric work for studio apt. infill project of two vacant spaces in my apt. building in Ferndale. Liked the idea of one stop shopping and accountability.
Turned into a very costly mistake. They bailed on the plumbing portion but miscommunication led to a lack of awareness of this for quite sometime as expected phone calls were never received, appointments with my contractor never kept. It was finally revealed the plumber to man this job had quit so they decided to leave us high and dry. This is during the time frame where they were doing the electrical. So basically a ‘too bad for you’ moment.
After a couple more weeks of attempting a discussion with ownership I did get a call from the secondary owner. The primary owner was then supposed to call to discuss a possible discount in the electrical to throw me a bone. The more than two month delay means I lost at least two months rent in getting these units to market. A minimum of $3400! After more than two weeks waiting for that call here we are writing a zero star review, although 1 is the minimum.
My contractor finally found another company to do the plumbing. No easy task on a short term basis.
In my 45 years of being an apartment operator I have used many different contractors. NEVER have I had one that has cost me so dearly in time and money. Just an unbelievable experience. And the fact that Jason couldn’t even bother to call and discuss this means that YOU should never call them to work for you in any capacity. A complete fail.
