102 dollar bait and switch oil change. WHAT?? Guy comes out ahead if time while I am waiting (see below) to let me know they are out of a 5-20 oil. I had 5-30 semi-synthetic. Says I am good. I wait frustrated. Two cars have come and gone in Bay 1 while bay 2 has the oil change guy standing and talking to the driver of the vehicle for 15 min. No movement. No explanation. Sit and wait. Been waiting for 30 min now for one car to move through. Definitely not fast. Will give another 10 min then bail. A courtesy explanation would be helpful so I could have moved to another lane and been on my way. Just a thought for Valvoline team to help customers manage their precious time.
Finally get to come in. No word about the wait. They take my name and info and start the topping of fluids and then tell me they are out of my oil and need to use full synthetic for 102 dollars. I have had full synthetic changes at a number of places and it has never been 102 dollars. I decided to cancel the oil change and left to go find a place that can provide better service at a reasonable price. Normal shop I go to is closed today. I will wait.
