The body shop has had my Ioniq 5 now for a month and a half and still can't tell me when it will be finished. The primary problems seem to be multiple misordered parts and slow shipping from Hyundai, neither of which are great. They seem to be discovering that they have the wrong parts in waves, rather than up front, which means we're six weeks in and still newly finding out about them having the wrong parts. But what irritates me most is that the communication is not proactive. No one is making much effort to keep me updated. Every few days I'll check in and get very little information. Today I called to find out what's a reasonable expectation and they acted very put out by the call. I went to this shop because I thought they'd know about new Hyundais but they're telling me that this is very complicated because they've never repaired an Ioniq 5 before. I'm having a hard time seeing how I'd ever buy another Hyundai and can't see myself ever going back to this shop no matter what kind of car I have.
