I recently purchased a home in Greenwood and wanted to paint the interior. I wasn’t sure where to begin for painters so I started on yelp and had four separate companies come to provide estimates. Vanhousing’s estimate was about in the middle but I got a good feeling from them from the start. Aside from plenty of reviews, they were able to come to my house the next day, on time, and before entering, respectfully took their shoes off as I keep a very tidy house. For me, this attention to detail speaks volumes when hiring someone to paint your house as there are so many shortcuts than CAN be taken. Not with Vanhousing. During the entire walk though Vlad took notes of my requests—this seems basic but this was yet another thing that put Vanhousing above the rest.
Vlad (owner) is very organized and hours after the initial visit provided a PDF estimate with all of the details to include the number of rooms to be painted, the paint selections I’d provided from Sherwin-Williams, price for materials, nothing is left to question. This also includes their insurance and license information for further peace of mind. One week after the first visit the crew of four arrived on time and painted my entire home in the span of one day. I even selected an awful color for a bathroom and they agreed to return to make sure I was happy the same week! (100% my fault).
I can’t say enough good things about Vlad’s company/employees and I will certainly use them again in the future as I am considering painting the exterior.
We called Vanhousing about staining our brand new fence. Troy was responsive, and came out quickly for an estimate, and we got on their calendar.
The night before our scheduled start date, we realized that it had not been relayed to us that we needed to pick out a stain color, and we also discovered a discrepancy between what product was written in the estimate (a two-coat product) Vs what product would actually be applied (a one-coat product). It was all very last-minute in the evening, but Vlad directed us to talk with Troy who was available to speak with us on the phone. He worked with us on updating the estimate, and as we are new to fence ownership Troy was also very good about educating us about how their labor costs change with the use of different products… We appreciated the transparency and their willingness to make time to address the minor miscommunication.
Due to the weather, we had to reschedule with Vlad a number of times… Again, Vlad was very responsive, and easy to work with. Once the weather cleared and the job was underway, Vlad and his associate were extremely respectful of a couple of very new trees I was hoping they could work around. They also agreed not to use the sprayer on one corner of our fence to avoid contaminating a crop, very near that area, our neighbors have been growing for the last two years.
The walk-through at the end was very thorough, and I learned about how new cedar wood absorbs stain. All very helpful. Vlad also took videos while they worked, and shared them with me at the end. It turned out awesome, and was done in one day!
We would definitely recommend Vanhousing Painters to anyone, and would work with them again!
