I recently visited this allergist for an extreme breakout on my face around my eyes. He charged $450 for the office visit alone and another $1000 for the pinprick testing done by an assistant. He gave no definitive opinion on what could have caused the outbreak and was much less informative than a nurse practitioner I visit earlier at a Walgreens for the same condition--who didn't charge anything. He just kept saying, "It could be anything," and "We can do testing, but the testing won't really tell you what caused it." He was very vague and general about the whole thing and the visit was a complete waste. The cost they charged was outright robbery--all out of pocket, because of my high deductibles. I recently visited an ophthalmologist for a potential serious eye issue, and he charged much less for the visit, even though the equipment he used and expertise and professional opinion was far, far more sophisticated. It may be that all "allergists" are a scam, because they can't really tell you anything, or do anything but recommend antihistamines, which are now over the counter. They also say to do eliminations, which means, "Do the work yourself." My advice, at any rate: don't go to this allergist. Just get your Claritin at Bartells and call it good. Having said that, the Dr. was perfectly polite, as was his assistant, so I can't fault their "customer service" in that regard. But the cost was totally and completely fraudulent.

Very thorough. Identified the issues and came up with solutions. Caring and listens. Never feel rushed.

Dr. Doreswamy is wonderful. He is kind and empathic. I started seeing him for environmental allergies, including dog. I've been getting allergy shots and my quality of life has improved so much. But more than that, Dr. Doreswamy is amazing with his bedside manner, for lack of a better term. Our infant son has food allergies and he also sees Dr. Doreswamy. We trust him completely.
