When one is experiencing vision loss. (In my life it is due to Wet Macular Degeneration.) It means a lot to know VIC is there. They show an interest in making sure a person knows what is available. VIC also works very hard to get the products that person needs to make life easier and less frightening to the patient. For many years I have supported United Way and the Lions Clubs' vision program, never thinking I would need their assistance. But they provided the assistance which made it possible for me to get one of the devices to help me live an indepent lifestyle. I urge people to give to non profit organizations so people can get assistance for such aids. I did not know about VIC prior to my vision loss. I did not know it is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and tax deductible donations can be made to VIC directly also. Lisa at VIC knows what helps are available and she knows how to get that help for patients. She did that for me and she got help for me from the Naches Lions Club also.
