Been shopping here 21 years. Generally very good selection of food. However, they have eliminated many items and brands I have purchased for years. Many items are constantly out of stock. Management has been changed so many times in the past few years after a GREAT manager, Ron, left. However, they still have great customer service. The staff is better than most stores. Very friendly and helpful.

I was overcharged $3.25 on 2.71 lbs. of red yams. I gave the cashier the PLU of the items, but he insisted on looking up the code himself. He rang me up for sweet potatoes, which look very different and insisted that the savings reflected on my receipt was for the yams-wrong! Vons needs to do a better job training their cashiers by giving them weekly produce test in order that they do not violate weight and measure laws. They can expect a visit from that department!

I like it. Not crowded when we went here. Its convenient to have a Von’s nearby when you have a cabin at big bear. They have everything you’ll need.
