John is a very gifted, professional architect. His designs are detailed, an original. He took on a very difficult project, instilled complete confidence in his ability to make things happen. They did! He gave us a set price for the job, when it took a left turn, he stood by his original fee, and wouldn’t accept compensation for the extra time needed to complete the project. I wouldn’t hire anyone else. He’s our guy!

John has several great attributes which made our experience with him outstanding: First, he has a great design aesthetic which allowed him to bring thoughtful design to the whole concept of our house but also all to all the smaller details that reveal themselves over time. Second, he is a great listener, where he worked hard to match his skills and expertise to our needs, desires, and dreams. Third, his attention to detail allowed him to create plans that were much more thorough than most architects execute...this saved time when discussing the project with potential contractors and saved time once the job was awarded because the contractor did not need to fill in too many gaps. Fourth, he is a solid communicator and collaborator- when we had questions, he had a quick response, when we needed to brainstorm on an idea or problem, he came with constructive ideas. And finally, he is just a great person to work with.
