Someone from my family sent a Christmas package to her sisters place, which is, next door to us. The package had to be signed for and it was to be dropped off at Walgreens in Hood River because they were not going to be there for days. It’s a vacation hole! Fed ex dropped it off, at Walgreens and I went there to pick it up! I’m the father in law of the sender! The store personnel said they didn’t have anything in the names I gave them! The next day I checked the tracking # from Fed ex and it said it was at that Walgreens. I went there showed them the tracking information and they still said I could not have the package because I gave them the wrong first name of the sender! After I went through three more names they agreed I had the right first name. The last name was correct but not the first name!!!! It turned out it was in my daughter in laws name instead of my step sons name but the last name is the same!!! Absolutely ridiculous and it will be the last time I use Walgreens here in Hood River! I can’t use their names but as an example: I said it was Tom Jefferson and they said no sorry but when o finally said Mary Jones Bingo that was it! They could have easily said it’s a female first name and the last name is correct. I’m Very bothered by this episode of lack of common sense!
The staff at this store is so unfriendly and dismissive. They don't seem to enjoy their job, if not hate what to do. The pharmacy is THE WORST!! The pharmacist/assistant is always on the phone or walking around without even acknowledging the customer. Same at the drive thru. They always give me errors and delays about prescriptions. I have been picking up prescriptions here for months and EVERY TIME there's a problem. I also pharm with Hi-School pharmacy in White Salmon, and I NEVER have these problems.
They store all new staff or completely re-training. I always have a bad and frustrating experience. Not to mention, it's always so expensive!
